McLaren unveiled there new GT3 contender at Goodwood, the new 650s GT3. The new GT3 racer replaces the old 12c GT3, but retains the same engine and chassis just like the 650s road car. The aerodynamics have further been refined on the new GT3 car for added down force and cooling without adding more drag which is a big plus. Driving the car on the limit is also meant to have been made easier for the “Gentleman” driver who normally drive these machines along side professional drivers. The new car will be out on track testing later this year with McLaren hoping to have 12 new 650s GT3’s built for the start of 2015 and some 12c GT3’s also updated to the new 650s GT3 spec as well.
