The Honda (Acura) NSX GT3 Development car hit the track over in the states not too long ago, and here you can see it in all its carbon glory. Unlike the road going NSX this is no hybrid, there are no electric motors powering any wheels, only the starter motor to turn over a 3.5l Turbo charged V6. And you know that in race trim that V6 Turbo will sound mega and will be throwing out some large BHP numbers, power is of course being sent to the rear wheels through a sequential 6 speed manual gearbox. The car is being developed to FIA GT3 standards so plenty of aero work is being carried out as you can see from the large rear wing, splitter and diffuser.
Development is being carried out by HPD (Honda Performance Development) the same team that developed the Honda HPD LMP2 cars, and they where extremely successful so you can imagine there is a lot of pressure to get this GT3 car right. So far from the looks of it, they are moving in the right direction with the car, and hopefully we will see the NSX out racing the world over in 2017.
