A Little late on this piece of news but McLaren have revealed they plan to build a track only version of the mighty P1. The new Track only spec P1 will come with a rather special badge in the McLaren stable, the Le-Mans special GTR badge. Along with the name, the McLaren P1 GTR will have a power boost, near the magical 1000bhp maybe? Slick tyres, more downforce, wider track and at a guess more weight saving, oh and a hefty price tag of £1.98 Million. The new car will go into production once all 375 “standard” P1’s have been built which could possibly be mid-next year. This is one car I will look forward to seeing at some point.
