Renault have today announced a new GT Race Car and one make series it will run in. The new car, the R.S.01, is to join the Renault World Series from next year, and is to race in the new RenaultSport Trophy. The new sub 1,110kg car features a Carbon monocoque, designed and built by Dallara, a Nismo built V6 Twin Turbo engine producing 500+ BHP, and performance levels between a GT3 car and a DTM car. The new series is been aimed at Pro-am Drivers and teams, with the idea of been a stepping stone for the GT ranks, DTM, ELMS and WEC. Not a lot more is known about this new Series and car, but it has been confirmed it will be out racing next year in the Renault World Series.
