For the first time since 2019, we headed down to Donington Park for the August Bank Holiday Monday. Luke from Junsport joined us for a day of watching massive wings fly around Donington Park, and smoke-pouring drift cars hit the lock stops. Since the last time we were at Time Attack, Run what you Bring has been scraped. Which is a bit of a shame, as we were looking to enter before Covid hit.
On track, a Mini R56 caught our attention, lapping very quickly with a Turbotechnics developed turbo strapped to it. There was also the Tarox-sponsored Mini F56 sporting a full F56 Challenge kit. Interestingly we noticed they were both running Nankang rubber over the Pirelli stuff. We might need to give them a try. Moreover there was a white DC5 with massive aero, and also the custom Norris 2-door Evo lapping quickly. On top of Time attack there was also the Drift Pro Championship from Motorsport UK, a new series to rival BDC it would seem with some impressive builds running in it.
