With 600hp production-based cars, mixed-surface circuit, and a dedicated fan base around the world, RallyCross combines the greatest aspects of four-wheel Motorsports. Spread across Europe over ten events, the 2013 FIA European RallyCross Championship promises high intensity head to head racing with short laps and multi-car starts.
A new 25-driver strong field and round robin format ensures each driver races a minimum of six heats per event with each race counting toward the season long Championship. Drivers compete in preliminary five-car heats, amassing points to qualify for the semi-finals. From there the top three competitors from each semi-final progress to the final where the eventual race winner takes all.
The 2013 season will see races held in world-class RallyCross venues including the home of the sport, Lydden Hill. The new heat-based format for 2013 delivers the World’s best RallyCross drivers in high-octane door-to-door racing in a format specifically designed for television.
