Ginetta, the Yorkshire based race car manufacturer has announced its aim to build an LMP3 car for the ACO’s new cost-capped category. Lawrence Tomlinson owner of Ginetta Cars has bought out Juno Racing a small race car manufacturer for this new venture with the new LMP3 car been branded as a Ginetta-Juno. Together with Juno Racing’s previous experience of building CN Sports Prototype’s (FIA spec car’s) and formula fords, and Ginetta’s previous experience with Le Mans Prototypes, along with there GT car’s the new car should be a top performer when all of the specs have been finalised. The ACO, is still to finalise all the LMP3 regulations so far, but Ginetta is ready to start work on the new car as soon as the ACO release the final specs. The aim is for the new car to begin testing this winter and be ready for customers around March 2015.
