The UK looks like it could be getting a new race circuit built in Wales near Ebbw Vale called The Circuit of Wales. The development is to cost £250m and is aimed at International motorsport as well as National events. So far the project has received outline planning permission from Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council and they are hoping to start work before the end of the year. Along with the main circuit they building a low carbon technology park adjacent to the circuit, international karting track, a 4×4 circuit, a Motocross track, series of high end industrial units, retail space, hotel and facilities for leisure, and a leading motor sports race academy and training facility.
