FIA World Rally Championship – Neste Oil Rally Finland 2015
Jari-Matti Latvala wins his home rally, Rally Finland. Known for its fast sweeping gravel stages and fast jumps, Rally Finland is one of the hardest to master. Latvala won in style though with this been the fastest WRC round ever with an average speed of 125.44kph eclipsing Sébastien Loeb’s 2012 record of 122.89kph. Back to the rally and the battle at the front was between the two Volkswagens of Latvala and Ogier all rally long, but during the opening stages Kris Meeke was up there as well. Meeke ended up hitting a tree and damaging his suspension and dropped down the order on the Saturday. That moved Mads Østberg up to third but 1min 23.1sec behind Ogier.
