FIA World Rally Championship – Coates Hire Rally Australia 2015
Could Ogier do what needed to be done for him to secure the WRC 2015 driver title in style? Coming into the end of day two, the answer was looking like a no, that was until he passed then rally leader Kris Meeke for first overall. Day three then was his to just not make mistakes yes? Well he didn’t think so as he proceeded to set fastest stage time after fastest stage time to take a dominate win at the end of the day. Kris Meeke unfortunately lost out to the guy that has been chasing Ogier all year long for second place, Jari-Matti Latvala which meant he ended up slipping to third overall. This was a good effort by the Brit though as he seems to be driving for his seat next year at Citroen. Unfortunately this years Rally Australia was not meant to be for him as Ogier was to much and sealed the WRC title the way he wanted to.
