So as we all know BMW released a Gen 3 Mini not to long ago, and now Total Track the company behind the UK Mini Challenge have produced a racing version. The new Gen 3 Mini Challenge racer has been developed to “be the nearest thing to a Touring Car you can buy, but at a fraction of the budge”. Its been given its own class at the top of the Mini Challenge scale and is known as the MINI Touring car class. Powered by a 2.0lt Turbo Engine the Gen 3 based machine produces about 275 BHP, which is sent to the slick shod front tires by a Quaife developed Sequential Gearbox. The spec sheet for this little racer is quite impressive and for the price of £35K + VAT, its not a bad price to be paying if you are serious about your racing. Don’t forget to check out the video above and also the Mini Challenge website and full spec’s of the Gen 3 Racer below.
