The 2014 WRC season started last weekend with the classic season opener the Monte-Carlo Rally, there were new teams and drivers along with the WRC main stays, all aiming for the top step come the end of this mixed weather Rally, but none could stop eventual winner. Sébastien Ogier started out the year the same way he ended last year by winning the event, but was shown that he will not have things as easy this year.
Robert Kubica has moved up to WRC machinery with the M-Sport run RK WRC Team in a Fiesta WRC, joining him at M-Sport (Ford) is team returnee Mikko Hirvonen and WRC2 graduate Elfyn Evans. Citroen are back for another year in the WRC with a new look team of Kris Meeke, Mads Ostberg and part time driver Khalid Al Qassimi. Hyundai are making there return with the I20 WRC, with a strong 4 driver line up, Thierry Neuville will do al the WRC rounds in the first car and the second car is been split between, Dani Sordo, Juho Hanninen and Chris Atkinson. VW have not changed a thing with there driver line up of Sébastien Ogier, Jari-Matti Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen but with how successful they were in there first year you cant really blame them.
The Top 3 for Monte was:
1st Sébastien Ogier
2nd Bryan Bouffier
