FIA World Rally Championship – Wales Rally GB 2015
The 2015 Wales Rally GB was not only the final round of the 2015 WRC season it also marked 20 years since one Legend won the World Rally Championship. That Legend was Colin McRae, and his protégé Kris Meeke was sure to put on a good performance in the final round of the 2015 season. Meeke took the fight to rally winner Sébastien Ogier earlier on, but decided to hold back and bag points for Citroën Racing to beat Hyundai for second in the manufacturers’ standings. Andreas Mikkelsen was trying to topple Jari-Matti Latvala in the Drivers standings but 3rd in the rally was not enough to beat Latvala who would end up second in the Drivers standings. Home boy Elfyn Evans gave fans a good show with a 6th position finish in the M-Sport Ford Fiesta RS and easily out performed his team mate who crashed out earlier on in the event.
