PLR Blog: Sunburn @ Trax Donington:
This past Sunday 1st July, we headed down to Donington with Luke Lieng from Junsport.co.uk for the new Trax Donington Show. It’s very much like the Trax Silverstone show, just on a smaller scale. As you would expect there was a huge variety of cars present, everything from a Ford KA’s, all the way up to a Mclaren 675LT. We had the R56 track project on display along with Olly Button’s VW Golf GTI Edition 30 and James Colver’s Mk1 Ford Focus RS. You would have seen the cars on the infield sitting in the intense 30°C heat.
The more expensive car’s where sat in the paddock behind the pits, where you would have spotted plenty of Mclarens, Porsches. Ferraris, BMW’s plus quite a few big build projects. On-track, there was a constant flow of public sessions, where you could drive your pride and joy on the circuit. That ranged from full Time Attack builds to Supercars, all the way down to Civics and Clios.
Although we had an early start and the suffering from sunburn which followed, it was not a bad way to spend a Sunday.
